The Senior Financial Analyst is a professional that plays an important role in the overall management and development of the financial activities for overall Rogers Wireless service revenue. This position will work very closely with various teams to provide valueadded analysis on Wireless Revenue and act as a contact for all Wireless initiatives that require data support. The ideal candidate must be a strategic thinker that looks at Financial and Business issues with a different perspective to highlight risks and opportunities.

What youll be doing:

  • Responsible for the overall month end closing process for Wireless service revenue.
  • Review entries and ensure compliance with Accounting Standards i.e. IFRS and business practices.
  • Lead the analysis of weekly/monthly results and issuing required reports and reconciliations.
  • Coordinate revenue related issues with various departments.
  • Conduct Analysis on subscriber & revenue trends and provide recommendations.
  • Prepare monthend variance analysis and commentaries vs budget and forecasts.
  • Building and maintaining revenue and KPIs budget and forecast models at the Regional and National level
  • Ensure integrity of data in models and reports while thinking about new and innovative ways to make existing reports more efficient and effective.
  • Lead special projects / adhoc assignments as required.
  • Provide ad hoc & selfdriven financial analysis as needed to improve business.
  • Participate in preparation of budget and forecast process.

What you have:

  • Strong technical accounting skills with an accounting designation (CA CMA or CGA) or MBA.
  • 35 years of progressive financial experience
  • Excellent analytical problem solving planning and organizational skills
  • Comfort and confidence in dealing with senior leadership
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and competing priorities under short timelines
  • Expert level working knowledge of Excel and other MS Office applications
  • Demonstrated leadership skills including coaching mentoring and motivating others
  • Selfmotivated with a positive attitude and determined to learn and sharpen skills on an ongoing basis
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate and influence across the organization
  • Knowledge of Essbase and V21 is an asset
