About The Opportunity

Programmeds Facility Management department are currently seeking a HSE Advisorto join our Burswood team. In this integral role you will beaccountable for the implementation and operation of Quality Environmental and Safety Management Systems and Procedures for our client contract. This role combines the best of handson safety management with a strategic and operational focus towards the achievement of our zero/harm values.

Nature of the Position: Permanent Full Time

Location: Burswood based with some regional travel

Reporting line: HSE Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Promote a positive safety culture through the active management of WHS management systems including providing specialist advice support training and education to staff
• Apply contemporary risk management practice undertake incident investigation and reporting and facilitate WHS working groups including Health and Safety Representatives First Aid Officers and Emergency wardens
• Conduct audits of the safety systems to determine the degree of compliance with KPIs and targets and provide feedback to the executive leadership team
• Deliver safety reports audit and inspection findings including the reporting of hazards incidents near misses and nonconformances
• Coach and support leaders to drive and influence proactive safety behaviors and processes.
• Coordination of operational training and development
• Assist with inductions for service providers contractors and staff so that they can undertake their duties in accordance with the standards required

About You

To be successful in this role you will have proven experience in Occupational Health & Safety and a natural ability to bring people together as a leader who possesses firstclass stakeholder engagement and customer service skills. Additionally you will demonstrate and possess the following:

• Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety
• Auditor or Lead Auditor in OH&S systems (Desirable)
• Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (Desirable)
• Experience in the provision of safety reporting including audits investigations inspections and the effective close out of corrective actions
• Relevant experience in incident investigation
• Experience in managing Integrated Management Systems
• Ability to interpret and apply WHS legislation and develop applicable policies and procedures.
• Experience in implementing WHS management systems and processes.
• Ability to prepare concise management reports
• Effective interpersonal oral and written communication skills
