Job Description
A great mining company in Middelburg Mpumalanga is seeking the expertise of an Underground General Manager to join their team of professionals.
Responsibilities
- Heading up of the underground mining division
- Extensive experience in contracting to blue chip clients
- Manage mining contracts profitably
- Lead and drive the Operations disciplines and teams to achieve organisational objectives in alignment to overall strategy and plans
- Design and develop the Operations structures to meet business requirements
- Accountability for Performance Management
- Accountability for Safety management
- Build and lead successful teams
- Achieve targets in a dynamic and competitive business environment
- Successfully lead a diverse group of employees
- Grade 12
- Degree in Mining Engineering
- Mine Managers Certificate of Competency
- Blasting Certificate for Underground Scheduled Mines
- 15 20 years experience in underground mining environment
- Minimum 10 years at senior management level
- Salary: R1.7M/yr R1.9M/yr negotiable
