Mohawk Medbuy Corporation (MMC) is a national notforprofit shared services organization that supports hundreds of health care providers across Canada as well as child welfare agencies and other public sector organizations. MMC provides valuedriven contracting and procurement solutions for medical/surgical supplies pharmaceutical products local sourcing capital (equipment FF&E and redevelopment) and nutrition solutions. Other services include data analytics inhospital support warehousing/logistics technology procuretopay and accounts payable.

MMC is actively supporting the creation of a resilient value chain that incorporates environmental social and economic wellbeing and fosters the participation of Indigenous businesses. Based in Burlington ON MMC operates regional hubs in Toronto Thunder Bay Kingston Brantford and London as well as a hub and distribution center in Oakville.

We are currently recruiting for a fulltime Sourcing Specialist to support our Nutrition Procurement team.

Position Overview

The MEALsource team works alongside Canadian nonprofit institutions including healthcare facilities and student nutrition programs to identify and understand individual requirements for food and beverage products. This enables us to facilitate a process that ensures best value and responsible use of public funds.

Reporting to the Director of Nutrition Procurement this position is part of a dynamic team with the primary objective of utilizing volumes to maximize best member outcomes while ensuring exceptional customer centric service and nurturing strong supplier relationships. In this position you will support a competitive bid process that is fair transparent and compliant with applicable Federal and Provincial legislation and regulatory requirements including the Broader Public Sector Procurement Directive.

Key Responsibilities

• Full accountability for sourcing activities development award and management
• Establish and manage project timelines in collaboration with MEALsource team
• Manage all stakeholders through their roles and responsibiities within the sourcing initiative
• Maintain timely and accurate reporting of the progress of RFx events
• Negotiate and execute contracts
• Ensure high priority is given to the fundamental principal of customer centric service with a high level of responsiveness to all inquiries internal and external
• Maintain confidentiality while meeting the needs of all Member facilities throughout the RFx process.
• Receive review and analyze sales reports from vendors; prepare and send rebate requests and validate received payment for each Member.
• Support with the onboarding of new members to MEALsource program

Qualifications and Skills

• Postsecondary degree or diploma in Business Administration Supply Chain or other related field is preferred
• Experience in institutional food service as well as an understanding of the Canadian / Ontario food system is preferred
• 5 years of experience in public sector procurement and/or healthcare environment an asset
• Excellent computer skills including proficiency with MS Office (Excel Word Outlook Teams)
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central an asset
• Superior multitasking time management and organizational skills with a high level of accuracy is essential
• Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
• Strong communication skills in English (oral and written) with excellent interpersonal skills
• Exceptional customer centric approach is required
• Driven to share success in a team environment
• Sound judgment and discretion when dealing with confidential information
• Demonstrated customer serviceoriented approach for ensuring an enhanced customer experience

Travel

• Ability to travel to Mohawk Medbuy offices if required.
