1About the position:
The Project Engineer is part of the Projects Design Engineering team within the Chevron ENGINE Center and provides project engineering and leadership to deliver preFEED design for capital projects within Chevron oil and gas facilities. This role provides guidance to multidiscipline teams to execute PreFEED scopes and delivery of Digital Design Packages in a teaming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensures that engineering quality is maintained while driving to deliver on the cost & schedule metrics agreed to with the Business
Leads the development of manufacturing design work processes and procedures in an environment
Broad base Facilities/Manufacturing knowledge that enables a multidiscipline and functional systems design approach to scopes
Drives systems engineering focus that utilizes digital design tools and software to leverage standard designs and initiatives including Minimum Functional Objectives to deliver projects
Executes through leveraging available tools and processes including Agile & Operations Science (PPM)
It is anticipated that domestic or international travel will be required
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in relevant engineering (B.E./B.Tech. functions (Mechanical Electrical Instrumentation/Controls Process Controls or Process) from a deemed/recognized (AICTE) university
Experienced in engineering facilities design as it relates to one or more of the following: PreFEED FEED Detailed Engineering Construction Commissioning Startup and Operations
Preferred Qualifications:
5 10 years of experience in an engineering or consultant role within offshore complex or LNG facilities
Strong knowledge of system interfaces systems engineering and project
Prior experience working on a multidisciplinary team of engineers and CAD designers towards completing quality Engineering Design Packages/Feed packages while managing scope costs schedule and risks
Operations and facility commissioning/startup experience
Project management experience on larger capital projects within oil and gas
Chevron ENGINE supports global operations supporting business requirements across the world. Accordingly the work hours for employees will be aligned to support business requirements. The standard work week will be Monday to Friday. Working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm or 1.30pm to 10.30pm.
