The role of music therapist will be to assess patient/family needs develop a care plan in accordance with the interdisciplinary team and implement the care plan based on individual needs. Music will be used to facilitate change and/or to maintain functioning to contribute to quality of life. The music therapist will continually update and revise plan of care for patient/family regarding patient/family progress. The music therapist will consult with other team members on the therapeutic use of music; coordinate education inservices for hospice staff and community at large; supervise music therapy practicum students and interns; and provide music support to enhance other programing and services throughout the organization.Education:Master of Music Therapy required Licensures/Certifications:Required: Board Certified Music Therapist (MTBC) Licensed Practicing Music Therapist (LPMT)Experience:Minimum of two years related experienceSkills:Advanced knowledge of hospice philosophySkill in oral and written communicationSkill in listening teaching and public speakingSkill in working both independently and in a team environmentCustomer service skillsSkill in computer proficiency including working in electronic medical recordAbility to develop associated treatment modalitiesSkill in time management and organization
Pay Range
$51351.55 $79594.90
Final salary offer will be based on the candidates qualifications education experience and alignment with our organizational needs.
