Provides highquality nutritional care for patients of all ages and backgrounds. Assesses dietary needs based on medical conditions and collaborates with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Education & Experience:
- Required: Bachelors degree in Nutrition Dietetics or related field
- Preferred: Experience as a clinical dietitian
Licensure & Certification:
- Registered Dietitian (RD) credential required
- Active NC Board of Dietetics/Nutrition licensure required
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts nutrition assessments and physical evaluations.
- Participates in clinical rounds to enhance patient care.
- Applies evidencebased practices in nutritional planning.
- Supports hospital goals by improving patient outcomes.
- Educates healthcare teams patients and caregivers on nutrition.
- Ensures ageappropriate care across patient populations.
- Provides specialized nutrition care for transplant patients (if applicable).
- Completes timely outpatient documentation and billing (if applicable).
- Works to reduce patient noshows and enhance clinic efficiency.
- Follows hospital policies and promotes a collaborative work environment.
- Maintains strong communication and teamwork skills.

- Strong verbal and written communication
- Ability to build relationships with staff and patients
- Basic computer proficiency
Work Environment:
- Clean welllit moderate noise level
- May involve stressful situations
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent standing walking and sitting
