Job Description
Our team is at the forefront of machine learning research. The team is dedicated to developing innovative RL algorithms and applying them to complex realworld challenges in Amazons global inventory and supply chain network. Our focus is not just on advancing theoretical knowledge but also on implementing these insights to optimize operations and enhance customer satisfaction.
We develop cutting edging data pipelines build accurate predictive models and deploy automated software solutions to provide forecasting insights to business leaders at the most senior levels throughout the company. We are looking for a senior motivated Principal Technical Program Manager to help drive the next generation of forecasting and insights products. Our ideal candidate has the analytical skills to develop insights and creativity to find innovative ways to act on these insights the technical chops to translate those ideas into innovative designs and interpersonal and project management skills to harness the passion and energy of teams across multiple organizations.
In this role you will work closely with stakeholders software engineers and product teams to deliver high quality scalable products deployed around the world. You will collaborate with the product teams to deliver the best product with most efficient use of resources and technologies. You will work with all the stakeholders to assemble project teams assign responsibilities identify appropriate resources needed and develop schedules to ensure timely completion of projects by meeting project milestones. You will also assess risks anticipate bottlenecks provide escalation management make tradeoffs balance the business needs versus technical constraints and encourage risk taking behavior to maximize business benefit. Successful candidates will have a technical background be detail driven and have excellent problem solving abilities.
10 years of engineering experience
7 years of technical product or program management experience
5 years of software development experience
Experience managing programs across cross functional teams building processes and coordinating release schedules
8 years of handson work managing complex technology projects experience
Experience managing projects across cross functional teams building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $159300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
