ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE:
Join the St Vincents Private Hospital Melbourne (SVPHM) team for a fulfilling and dynamic role as a Surgical Setup Person in our Sterile Stores department at the Fitzroy campus.
This is a parttime/fulltime position offering up to 38 hours per week where you will play a key role in supporting the Operating Theatre and Sterilising Department. You will be responsible for the assembly of surgical consumables and instrumentation for procedures ensuring everything is prepared and sterilised to the highest standards.
If you are selfdirected have a strong understanding of operating theatre procedures equipment and consumables and bring previous experience in sterilisation or working in an operating suite this is the perfect opportunity for you. You will collaborate closely with the Operating Theatre Sterilising and Supply Departments contributing directly to the success of our Surgical Services.

ABOUT YOU:
As an outstanding Instrument Technician Surgical Setups you are a master at working in an Operating Theatre environment with ability to selfdirect and prioritise work tasks based on surgical scheduling and day to day activity.
Your skills will include:
- Strong Knowledge of medical and surgical terminology procedures and the equipment.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and technology to support operations.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic fastpaced environment demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with Operating Theatre and Supply staff.
- Problemsolving abilities to troubleshoot and manage product availability challenges.
- Previous experience working in a hospital environment particularly within the operating suite is highly desirable. Experience as an orderly is also beneficial.
