The Planning Land Use Strategy Housing and Infrastructure (PLUSHI) teams are the driving force behind the Departments strategic planning policy rezoning and infrastructure projects all aimed at making New South Wales a better place to live and optimising the States productivity in a sustainable manner.
PLUSHIs work includes significant projects like housing policy reform regional strategic plans economic and social policy development State Significant Rezoning Policy (SSRP) Transport Oriented Development (TOD) and the Urban Development Program (UDP) which help monitor and coordinate housing and economic development land supply and infrastructure delivery.
The role:
We are seeking a Senior Planning Policy Officer to progress implementation of the Housing and Productivity Contribution one of the most significant planning reforms undertaken in NSW for many years. This new funding mechanism will help to deliver major infrastructure including new roads schools hospitals open space and community facilities across the states key growth regions.
This is not a typical planning contributions role you will be involved in the most challenging and influential areas of planning policy at a regional and statescale. Working in a fastpaced environment you will help to progress policy advice on significant infrastructure expenditure and prioritisation decisions that support new housing development enhance the states economic productivity and improve the quality of life for NSW communities.
