About us: Baldwin Health is a 112bed acute care hospital offering inpatient outpatient emergency diagnosticand surgical carewith over 800 employees and a network of medical clinics serving greater coastal Alabama. A dedicated and experienced medical staff offers over 32 medical specialties. Hospital services include Baldwin Countys only Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine Center Womens Imaging digital imaging a 24hour emergency department an extended hours urgent care & imaging center and freestanding emergency department in Gulf Shores.
About the Job:
Performs manual and automated routine blood tests. Prepares specimens for microscope examination. Operates laboratory equipment including centrifuges dry bath incubators and blood bank refrigerators. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to supervisor or manager.
Job Requirements:
Requires graduation from an accredited MLT program and passing a national exam given by the Board of Registry of the American Society for Clinical Pathology. Familiar with standard concepts practices and procedures within a particular field.
