Job Overview:
As a Sr Software Backend Developer you will be crucial in the development optimization and maintenance of the serverside logic for our cloudbased SaaS applications. You will work closely with frontend developers and other stake holders to ensure system consistency and improve user experience. Your role will focus on designing writing clean scalable code to enhance the functionality and performance of our applications.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain scalable and robust backend services and APIs.
- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate userfacing elements with serverside logic.
- Lead some of the design aspects of different services and components.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Implement security and data protection measures.
- Design and implement data storage solutions.
- Manage cuttingedge technologies to improve legacy applications.
- Gather and address technical and design requirements.
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
- Liaise with developers designers and system administrators to identify new features.
- Follow emerging technologies and frameworks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in computer science Engineering or a related field.
- 8 years of experience as a backend developer
- Proven experience as a Backend Developer or similar role.
- Strong experience with serverside languages such as Python and Java.
- Familiarity with frontend languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/CSS JavaScript XML jQuery).
- Good Understanding of Microservices architecture.
- Some experience with Apache Kafka for realtime data streaming and event processing.
- Some working experience in Apache Spark and Spark Streaming for largescale data processing.
- Handson experience with database technology such as MySQL.
- Deep understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
- Strong understanding of version control tools like Git.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS and CI/CD tools.
- Good problemsolving skills and ability to perform well in a teamoriented environment.
Nice to Have :
- Experience with Docker / Kubernetes
- Some working experience with Big Data technologies will help.
- Experience collaborating with remote teams across time Zones.
