The Senior BI Specialist will play a pivotal role in transforming business data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate will have expertise in financial reporting BI solution development and data analysis with a keen eye for identifying opportunities to improve business support processes. This individual will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to guide the entire BI lifecycle from requirements gathering to implementation and optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead BI solution development projects ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Develop and optimize BI reporting solutions using the MS BI Stack (SSRS SSAS Power BI SQL).
- Guide and mentor junior BI developers ensuring highquality BI solution delivery.
- Perform data analysis mining and visualization to enhance financial reporting accuracy.
- Collaborate with business users to translate requirements into effective BI solutions.
- Perform code reviews and optimize database queries for performance improvements.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices in BI development.
- Support data warehousing initiatives including design and architecture.
- Work with IT and business stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve BIrelated issues.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and integrate emerging BI technologies into solutions.
MustHave Requirements
- 5 years of experience in data analysis/mining and BI solution development.
- 3 years of experience developing Power BI solutions and data visualization.
- 2 years of experience in data warehouse design and MS SSAS tabular models.
- Strong SQL query writing skills and advanced Excel expertise (Pivot Tables Power Query).
- Experience with BI ETL tools such as SSIS.
- Solid understanding of financial reporting and experience in corporate finance analytics.
- Ability to translate complex data sets into executivelevel dashboards and reports.
- Experience working with largescale databases and data lakes.
