Position Summary:

The Financial Planning Analyst at Roberts Resorts & Communities will play a critical role in supporting financial decisionmaking across our portfolio of manufactured home communities RV resorts and sales of cabins and homes. The individual will be responsible for budgeting forecasting financial reporting and analyzing sales and operational data. By providing insights and financial models the Financial Planning Analyst will help guide business strategy improve profitability and support the companys growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience in the industry and a strong ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams to align financial goals with overall business objectives. This role is 100 onsite/inoffice.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:

  • Develop Accurate Financial Forecasts and Budgets:
    Within the first 90 days build and implement financial models to forecast revenue expenses and sales for manufactured home communities RV resorts and cabin/home sales. Ensure forecasts and budgets align with business objectives and are presented in a clear and actionable format for management.
  • Improve Profitability by Analyzing Sales and Operations Data:
    By the end of the first 6 months provide indepth analysis of sales data occupancy rates and operational costs to identify trends and recommend strategies that drive revenue growth and cost efficiencies. Specifically contribute to improving the profitability of cabin and home sales by optimizing pricing strategies and financing options.
  • Develop Cash Flow Forecasting for the Business: Design and deliver timely cash flow forecast for our portfolio of manufactured home communities RV resorts and sales of cabins and homes. Recommend initiatives to improve cash management align with the companys objectives and present it to management on a monthly quarterly and yearly basis.
  • Provide Regular Financial Reporting and Variance Analysis:
    Deliver accurate and timely monthly and quarterly financial reports that compare actual performance to budgets and forecasts. Identify key variances explain the causes and suggest corrective actions where needed. Ensure leadership has a clear understanding of financial performance across all properties.
  • Collaborate to Support Sales and Marketing Efforts:
    Work closely with sales and marketing teams to analyze financial performance related to property sales. Provide insights that aid in developing effective sales strategies marketing campaigns and customer financing plans with the goal of increasing home and cabin sales by at least 10 over the first year.
  • Support Strategic Business Decisions Through Financial Modeling:
    Develop scenariobased financial models to support decisionmaking on potential acquisitions expansions or pricing adjustments for the communities and sales division. Provide datadriven recommendations that contribute to longterm growth and operational success.
  • Drive Cost Reduction Initiatives:
    Within the first year collaborate with community managers and operations teams to identify costsaving opportunities that improve operational efficiency across properties aiming for a 510 reduction in operating costs while maintaining or improving service quality.
Requirements

  1. Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial principles budgeting forecasting and variance analysis.
  2. Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex data sets and identify trends opportunities and insights for decisionmaking.
  3. Financial Modeling: Expertise in building financial models to support strategic decisions and scenario planning.
  4. Attention to Detail: Precision in financial reporting ensuring accuracy and clarity in all financial documents and presentations.
  5. Communication Skills: Ability to effectively convey financial insights and complex data to nonfinancial stakeholders in clear actionable terms.
  6. Collaboration: Proven ability to work crossfunctionally with teams such as sales marketing operations and management to align financial objectives.
  7. ProblemSolving: Skilled in identifying financial issues and providing datadriven solutions to improve performance and profitability.
  8. Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fastpaced environment with the flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and business needs.
  9. Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the financial aspects of manufactured home communities RV resorts and real estate sales.
  10. Technological Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in financial software Excel and ERP systems (e.g. Rent Manager Avid) to streamline financial processes.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors degree in finance Accounting Economics or a related field.
  • 35 years of experience in financial planning and analysis preferably in the manufactured home community or RV resort industry.
  • Proven experience with financial analysis related to property sales specifically cabins and homes.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling forecasting and budgeting tools.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel financial software and ERP systems (e.g. Rent Manager AVID).
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
