As part of the Corporate Controllers Department and the Finance & Actuarial Community (FAC) of PFI the External Reporting Teams subsidiary reporting area is responsible for the controllership activities in support of the U.S. business units domestically based investment & operating international entities as well as PFIs domestic Employee Benefit Plans. The team supports GAAP reporting across multiple legal entities including subsidiary financial statements disclosures analysis various regulatory filing submissions economic surveys and internal / external audit support. The team partners with various Business Unit Finance areas individual PGIM Businesses Investment Operations and other corporate areas such as Tax Treasurers & Law.

The Financial Reporting Specialist will support the of various subsidiary financial statements disclosures and regulatory filings while gaining exposure to the companys investment and operating entities owned by various businesses as well as GAAP financial reporting requirements.

The current EWA for this position is Hybrid and requires your onsite presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be onsite.

What you can expect:

  • Preparation of various subsidiary financial statements and reporting disclosures legal entity financial statement driver analysis while ensuring the control timeliness and accuracy of the financial statements
  • Preparation of quarterly analysis and reporting data in support of disclosures for inclusion in PFI 10K/Q and subsidiary financial statements
  • Partner with various Business Unit Finance teams corporate areas and other internal business partners on accounting and reporting matters
  • Preparation of standalone audited financial statements and footnote preparation (including collaboration with external auditors and several internal support teams) which are filed with domestic and international regulators and/or used for business unit purposes
  • Assist with the implementation of new or updated GAAP accounting guidance
  • Support annual PFIwide audits by internal or external auditors
  • Maintain internal controls over financial reporting and compliance with SarbanesOxley requirements
  • Continuously identify efficiencies and improve effectiveness by determining best practices
  • Support special projects initiatives adhoc reporting and analysis requests


What youll need:

  • Bachelors or Graduate degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or MBA a plus)
  • 3 5 years of financial reporting and analysis experience
  • Investment accounting reporting experience and knowledge of GAAP accounting principles
  • Strong research analytical problemsolving and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and effectively prioritize workload within tight deadlines in a fastpaced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (macros pivot tables lookups)
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships and partner on various assignments
  • Experience with Prudential Financial systems (Oracle Essbase and Workiva)

Overtime expected during peak reporting periods and must have the flexibility to work hours that accommodate U.S. offices

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $72900.00 to $108600.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location candidate experience and skills.
