Scopely is looking for aDirector Community and Social Mediato join an ambitious new AAA crossplatform game in Culver City on a hybrid basis or remotely in the US!

AsDirector Community and Social Mediayoull lead a worldclass community strategy that strengthens player connections fuels longterm engagement and evolves alongside the games live service. Youll be responsible for building and scaling the games community from the ground up driving growth through recruitment advocacy and innovative engagement programs. Overseeing community social media and influencer initiatives youll ensure every touchpointfrom Discord to ingame activationskeeps players excited and invested.

What Youll Do:

• Develop a multichannel community strategy that fuses core engagement datadriven insights and creative storytelling.
• Grow and scale the player community driving recruitment initiatives that bring new gamers into the ecosystem.
• Integrate community feedback throughout the games lifecycle to inform development product strategy and live operations.
• Lead a worldwide social strategy that drives meaningful player engagement conversation and community impact.
• Harness analytics sentiment and emerging trends to predict player needs increase retention and exceed expectations.
• Organize creator programs that provide exclusive game content monetization opportunities and collaborative storytelling.
• Forge deep strategic partnerships with top content creators and community leaders to amplify player advocacy and reach.
• Oversee digital experiences ingame activations and live events that foster a strong player community and user retention.
• Drive live service communications ensuring transparency rapid response and a playerfirst approach to critical issues.
• Stay ahead of trends emerging platforms and new technologies that evolve the way communities connect and interact.
• Establish new industry benchmarks by mentoring a toptier team of community managers social strategists and influencer leads.

What Were Looking For:

• 10 years of gaming experience in community or social in a live service capacity including 5 years in leadership driving strategy and .
• Demonstrated expertise in leading and managing a community within a successful live service game.
• Deep expertise in social platforms (Discord Reddit X TikTok) and emerging trends that fuel player growth and retention.
• Exceptional executive communication and player storytelling skills with a talent for crafting narratives that connect gaming audiences.
• Proven success in influencer partnerships fostering longterm relationships that amplify game reach and community impact.
• Strong leadership and people management skills with experience mentoring and scaling highperforming teams.
• Ability to navigate fastpaced live service environments balancing longterm vision with agility in responding to player trends.
• Expertise in crisis communication and reputation management ensuring transparency and trust in highstakes situations.
• Strategic and analytical mindset capable of leveraging data sentiment tracking and engagement analytics to inform decisionmaking.
• Budget management experience optimising resources to drive maximum impact across community initiatives.
• Fluency and strong writing skills in English are required.
