Position Summary: The Machine Operator in the Weld & Assembly Department is responsible for operating machinery efficiently to meet production goals maintaining quality standards and ensuring a safe and organized workplace. This role requires attention to detail effective communication and a commitment to continuous improvement in a fastpaced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: - Operate machinery to meet production goals while maintaining control of the manufacturing process.
- Communicate machine status to responsible parties to ensure operational continuity.
- Document production issues and obstacles in the production log to identify areas for improvement.
- Adhere to A.J. Rose quality policy by following work instructions and performing tasks to standard 1.0/3.0.
- Maintain workplace organization and ensure processes align with company quality goals.
- Actively participate in A.J. Rose safety programs to ensure a safe working environment.
- Eliminate waste and nonvalueadded time by implementing continuous improvement ideas.
- Work effectively in a team setting to achieve departmental goals.
- Communicate ideas for process improvements and contribute to a culture of innovation.
Experience: - 13 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Essential Skills: - Strong math skills including fractions decimals metrics basic algebra and an understanding of statistics (sampling and run charts).
- Ability to read and interpret graphic displays and follow detailed procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills to efficiently handle routine tasks.
- Detailoriented and conscientious with a strong work ethic.
- Dependability and ability to adapt to new procedures and continuously learn.
Physical Requirements: - Good hearing.
- Medium lifting requirements 2050 pounds occasionally; 525 pounds frequently).
