The Global Patriot Program Quality Lead (PQL) in Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) will support US and/or foreign programs within the Deployment Fielding and Sustainment (DFS) product line portfolio at our Andover MA location. Responsibilities include promoting and executing with a strong quality mindset knowledge sharing and collaboration. This individual will assist in implementation of Global Patriot strategic quality improvements across contracts.

The successful candidate will proactively engage with the product line and work in partnership with Program Leadership Engineering Global Supply Chain Operations Deployed Teams and the Quality team. This role will work to ensure the effective implementation of Quality and Mission Assurance requirements of the programs and occasionally interface with U.S. Government Customers Foreign Customers and Suppliers. In this role you will primarily engage our factories and suppliers that aid the Global Patriot portfolio implement quality processes to reduce overall product lifecycle cost and risk.

This is an onsite position in Andover Massachusetts.

What You Will Do:

  • Interface with the program quality teams programs customers Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) ultimately assisting technical quality and financial performance and compliance to Raytheon procedures and contractual requirements.
  • Closely interface with external and internal customers and key partners to establish effective relationships.
  • Must have the ability to manage and impact across multiple levels of stakeholders as it is vital to the success of this role.
  • Responsible for quality of delivered products and services to our customers stakeholders of quality risks uncertainties and opportunities key team members in resolution of customer expectations and relationships related to Quality and Mission Assurance.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing strategic and tactical Mission Assurance plans that will closely affect the programs implementation and influence.
  • Partner with IPT Leads on Incountry Repair Depot Capabilities and sustainment strategy.
  • Contribute to the development of a holistic sustainment strategy including identification and tracking of field failure information to ensure successful operational and product roadmaps for the customer.
  • Monitor / lead root cause corrective action (RCCA) and FRACAS activities for systemic issues and to ensure extensive RCCA.
  • Contributing as a quality leader on product sustainment activities for developmental and legacy programs
  • Responsible for improving processes or systems using significant conceptualizing reasoning and interpretation skills. Problems and issues faced are numerous and undefined and information is typically difficult to obtain.

Qualification You Must Have:

  • Typically requires Bachelors degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and eight 8 years of engineering experience.
  • Working experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
  • Working experience with performance to cost schedule and technical performance including Cost Accounting Methodologies (Earned Value).
  • Working experience in providing technical program assistance for manufacturing and/or design processes.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Six Sigma Lean CORE or American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification.
  • Active U.S. security clearance.
  • Earned Value Management System (EVMS) certification.
  • Experience in other functional area such as engineering supply chain or operations.
  • Experience using written and verbal presentation and networking skills to work with stakeholders and customers.
  • Experience solving both business and technical problems.
  • Experience achieving goals and implementing continuous improvement.
  • Experience in contract flow and compliance.

Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees as they are essential to the development of our products.

Clearance Information: This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO) an agency of the Department of Defense handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. More information about Security Clearances can be found on the US Department of State government website here: salary range for this role is 101000 USD 203000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
