Quality Technician / CMM Programmer
Northampton
Permanent
35 45k per annum bonus (OTE up to 50k)
Overview
EMBS Engineering is in partnership with a precision engineering company located in Northampton that is a leading specialist in the manufacturing of precisionengineered components. Due to our clients increased workload they are looking to expand their inspection department and are therefore looking for aQuality Technician / CMM Programmerto join their growing team.
Responsibilities will include;
- Running CMMs using PC DMIS software
- Liaison with other departments such as manufacturing quality engineering and sales to ensure delivery of conforming products
- Read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Manual quality inspection
What experience do you need for this CMM focused role
- Strong quality inspection background
- Experience programming and/or setting & operating using PCDMIs software
- Ability to perform inspection activities (both visual and dimensional) using manual measuring equipment
- Experience of carrying out First off and Final Inspection
- Confidence identifying nonconfirming products
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong understanding of ASME standards and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communications skills and the ability to work well within a team

- Shifts available;Days 6am or 7am start or Twilight 2pm or 3pm start
