Redditch
Permanent
14 to 15 per hour plus 2.60 shift allowance

EMBS Engineering Ltd is working in partnership with a leading precision engineering manufacturer located near Redditch that is currently in the market for aMachine Setter/ Operator (Wire EDM)to join their company on a permanent basis.
This market leader is a wellestablished entity within the precision engineering industries and boasts a rich history of supporting globally recognised customers with safetycritical highly complex components.

- Hours: Monday to Wednesday 4.30pm to 2.30am Thursday 4.30pm to 1.30am with permanent Fridays off
Your responsibilities will include:
- Operate and control EDM machines and other equipment in the area following relevant procedures.
- Read and understand CNC machine code to the level necessary for machine setup and operation.
- Comprehend setup parameters and their impact on the machining process including datum setting and tool length and wear offsets.
- Set up machines with the appropriate work holding and tooling adhering to relevant procedures.
- Perform machining operations efficiently as per Job Card instructions to meet required output levels.
Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:
- Able to operate EDM machines / Electro Discharge machines / Laser machines / Plasma machines / Electron Beam Machines / CNC Machinesor similar equipment.
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
