Despatch Operative

EMBS Engineering is currently recruiting for a Despatch Operative to join a precision engineering company located on the outskirts of Redditch / South Birmingham working on a permanent basis.

Due to the nature of the markets our client supplies into all candidates must be UK residents and DBS checks will be required. Please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.

• Shifts: Days Flexible start and finish times between 6.00am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and Friday 6.00am to 12.30pm
• Starting at 12.00 per hour rising to 13.25 after sucessful completion of probation period
• Overtime available

The business is a leading specialist in manufacturing complex safetycritical components for a number of high profile markets.

Due to continued success and further growth our client requires additional support within their despatch department.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Despatch & Inventory Management: Load despatch vehicles maintain inventory traceability and accuracy control bonded stores and manage stock movements in the ERP system.
• Packing & Shipping: Pack parts per matrix ensure compliance with packing specifications prepare paperwork (release documents invoices) and arrange transportation.
• Stock Control & Financial Oversight: Monitor consumable stock levels control shelflife materials coordinate financial stock takes and process customer returns.
• Operational Compliance & Housekeeping: Follow EHS standards maintain a clean and organised despatch area and conduct TPM activities.
• Process Adherence & Quality Control: Read job cards follow work instructions handle nonconforming components update MRP records and support root cause analysis.

Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:

• Experience of working in a similar role; goods in goods out despatch packing etc
• Working in an engineering / manufacturing environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Confidence using computers
