Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced Senior Designer (Mechanical Draftsman) to join our team specializing in the oil and gas sector. This role involves the design detailing and modeling of Incinerator packages including equipment piping support structures and pipe racks. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in CAD software particularly CADWORKS or equivalent and will work closely with engineering teams to produce highquality designs and drawings ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Analysis and Design:
- Analyze project specifications and requirements specific to the oil and gas sector focusing on layout and 3D modeling of Incinerator packages.
- Design and detail mechanical components including equipment piping support structures and pipe racks.
- Drafting and Detailing:
- Prepare various types of technical drawings such as parts assemblies and products including sectional profiles and multiple views.
- Generate detailed General Arrangement (GA) drawings foundation drawings fabrication drawings and piping isometrics.
- 3D Modeling:
- Utilize CADWORKS or equivalent software to create both 2D and 3D models of mechanical systems and structures.
- Collaborate closely with the lead engineer to ensure designs meet the projects specifications and requirements.
- Collaboration and Coordination:
- Attend model/design review meetings with global offices clients and project stakeholders.
- Address and resolve comments and issues related to models and drawings ensuring alignment with project requirements and client expectations.
- Work closely with the design team and coordinate with other designers to generate quality outputs within project timelines.
- Quality Control and Standards Compliance:
- Ensure all designs and drawings comply with relevant codes industry standards and dimensional specifications.
- Maintain a high level of quality control and attention to detail in all design deliverables.
- Additional Duties:
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the engineering and design management teams.
Qualifications
- 1015 yrs experience ITI Diploma Mechanical Engineering
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Draftsman or Designer with significant exposure to the oil and gas sector.
- Strong proficiency in CAD software (preferably CADWORKS or equivalent).
- Solid understanding of mechanical design principles piping support structures and pipe racks.
- Knowledge of relevant codes dimensional standards and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and other design professionals.
Skills:
- Expertise in 2D and 3D design drafting and modeling.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex specifications and requirements.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Detailoriented with a focus on quality and accuracy in designs.
- Familiarity with design review processes and client interaction.
