Job Description
Youth Educations Classroom Assistant works as the Education Assistant across our Campus Camps and PreCollege programs. Our Campus Camps and PreCollege at the U summer programs are built to inspire education innovation and imagination. We develop interests and passions through experiential education and extend the resources of the University of Utah to students 17 and under. Our summer programs run for 10 weeks in the summer MondayFriday. This is an inperson position. Applicants will be reviewed on a rolling basis. The selected candidates must be able to start work the week of June 2nd 2025 and ideally be available MondayFridays. Please email with questions. As an Education Assistant you will: Learn and implement various classroom management techniques Identify different teaching styles Observe how learning abilities differ by age Gain experience in Inquirybased Education
Responsibilities
Assist with classroom management including the direction supervision and organization of campers Assist with facilitating activities helping with field trips managing supplies etc. Work with Youth Education instructors and staff to ensure program quality Deliver extraordinary customer service to all program participants Recognize and respond to teachable moments in the group Encourage campers to participate in activities by demonstrating excitement and enthusiasm appropriately Other duties may be assigned
