A property and casualty insurance company specializing in non standard automobile insurance is growing and looking to add an Insurance Accountant to their team!
Responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements by creating journal entries reconciling operating expenses and analyzing financial results.
- Oversee regulatory compliance deadlines estimate and calculate taxes and submit reports.
- Accurately report premium and claim cessions to Reinsurers monthly.
- Assist with company budgets and forecasts.
- Provide schedules and supporting documentation for financial audit fieldwork.
- Perform other accounting and financial tasks as requested.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting
- 3 years of experience as an Accountant preparing financial statements and working with balance sheets.
- Ability to assess and initiate tasks independently.
- Knowledge of Statutory Insurance regulations a plus
- Proficient in Excel technology savvy and adaptable to new systems and business tools.
- Strong detailoriented analytical; and technical abilities to review and evaluate.
- Ability to prioritize communicate and multitask in a fastpaced environment.
Competitive Salary $80K$100K
