Job Description

Position Summary
The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Villanova University has an opening for a fulltime continuing non tenuretrack assistant professor position in the area of mechanics and materials. This is an academic year appointment renewable subject to enrollment needs availability of funding and performance. The position starts in August 2022. Duties And Responsibilities
The candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate core and laboratory courses in mechanical engineering especially in the area of mechanics and materials. Other responsibilities include coordinating and maintaining course related laboratory equipment mentoring undergraduate students K12 outreach and developing new pedagogical methods.

Minimum Qualifications
Requirements include a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field and a demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and innovation.
