Job Description
Salary/Position Classification
- $65000 annual dependent on experience 9month contract Exempt
- 40 hours per week
- This position will work onsite the Grand Forks ND campus.
Purpose of Position
The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of North Dakota (UND) seeks a Clinical Assistant Professor of SpeechLanguage Pathology or Audiology. This is a 9month nontenure track position with a beginning date of August 16 2025 contingent upon availability of funding. Summer work may also be available. This position includes teaching clinical supervision and advising students in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders.
The Communication Sciences and Disorders Department is housed in the College of Arts and Sciences and offers a B.A. in Communication Sciences and Disorders and an M.S. in SpeechLanguage Pathology (SLP). The department currently has eight fulltime and four parttime faculty members and a stateoftheart clinic facility. There are typically 100 undergraduate students and 40 graduate students enrolled.
The Department is a part of an integrated oncampus clinic The Northern Prairie Community Clinic (NPCC). The clinic serves as a training placement for graduate students in psychology counseling and speechlanguage pathology. Students are supervised by licensed professionals. NPCC aims to serve the Grand Forks community and state of North Dakota.

Duties & Responsibilities
The successful applicant will receive a contract with an approximate distribution of 90 teaching (undergraduate graduate and clinical supervision) and 10 service effort. - Teach undergraduate and graduate courses
- Supervise graduate student clinicians in NPCC and community
- Work collaboratively with other faculty to achieve consistent and highquality learning and clinical environments
Required Competencies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to teach inspire and mentor students
- Effective interpersonal skills including the ability to collaborate effectively with faculty staff and students
- Competent in using technology and ability to adopt new tools for both oncampus and online (if needed) course delivery.
Minimum Requirements
- Masters Degree in SpeechLanguage Pathology
- North Dakota licensure or attained by start date
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence or attained by start date
- Two years of clinical experience
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
