Why This Role Is Valuable
The Analyst Accounting is responsible for performing monthly quarterly and annual accounting activities including reconciliations account analysis and review of financial reports/support for Blackstone portfolio companies and Revantage. The Analyst Accounting will ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures and resolve accounting related issues.
How You Add Value
Functional
Perform monthly/quarterly account analysis and rollforwards of selected general ledger accounts to ensure accounts properly reflect the companys financial position in accordance with company policy and GAAP.
Review ledger detail record adjusting journal entries and prepare supporting schedules for GAAPbased financial statements.
Assist in the preparation of property financial statements and work papers monthly.
Assist in the preparation of annual audited financial statements including footnote disclosures and supporting schedules.
Assist in the monthly/quarterly reporting to lenders joint venture partners and portfolio companies.
Coordinate with the treasury team to ensure that all financing transactions are properly and timely accounted for.
Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts for portfolio companies and standalone investments.
Review propertylevel financial results mostly prepared by thirdparties to ensure results properly reflect the companys financial position and are in accordance with GAAP.
Prepare bank reconciliations and journal entries as needed.
Assess and react to changing business conditions in terms of their impact to the supported organization.
Ensure teams processes and procedures support the departments goals according to guidelines and policies.
Onboard and account for acquisitions dispositions and other similar transactions.
Relationship Management
Accountable to portfolio companys or joint venture partners satisfaction with the accounting teams performance responsiveness and interactions.
Lead initiatives to ensure smooth business partner experience across the team.
Become daytoday goto person for Revantage business partners including portfolio company joint venture partners and Blackstone.
Respond to business partner inquiries and commit to deliverables by leveraging resources across the team.
Partner with other team members to identify and drive external relationships with the teams key contacts and stakeholders including thirdparty accounting departments and thirdparty operators accounting teams.
Assist other portfolio companies during project initiatives on an asneeded basis.
What You Bring To The Role
Required:
Bachelors Degree with a major in Finance Accounting or closely related field
Minimum 1 year of experience in general accounting and/or financial analysis
Knowledge of US GAAP
Knowledge of MS Office Suite
Knowledge of accounting software and databases (e.g. Workday ARGUS)
General understanding of financial models corporate financials and regulatory market
Excellent communication problem solving and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and manage shifting priorities in a fastpaced environment
Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Available for limited travel
Preferred:
CPA certification
Real estate industry experience
Base Compensation Range:
$65000.00 To $75000.00. This represents the presentlyanticipated low and high end of the Companys base compensation range for this position. Actual base compensation range may vary based on various factors including but not limited to location and experience.Total Direct Compensation: This job is also eligible for discretionary bonus and incentive compensation on an annual basis.
