About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detailoriented Junior Electrical Network Designer to join our ElectroNet Contracting team based in Cromwell.

In this role you will assist in the design planning and development of electrical distribution and transmission networks. You will work closely with our senior designers and project managers to ensure network designs meet technical regulatory and customer requirements. Your duties will include:

  • Assist in the design and development of electrical network layouts schematics and system configurations
  • Support the preparation of technical drawings diagrams and documentation using CAD software
  • Liaising with clients and assisting the Project Management team as required
  • Collaborate with project managers and our stakeholders to optimize network design solutions
  • Providing crucial engineering and design support for our frontline staff
  • Using surveying techniques to collect onsite data and construction layout information
  • Producing designs that are compliant with NZ standards and appropriate network standards

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • 0 2 years experience in electrical network design or a related role
  • Familiarity with electrical design software
  • Basic understanding of power distribution transmission systems and electrical principles
  • Strong analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the role
