Job Description

JOB OVERVIEW

A growing company in the pulp and tissue paper manufacturing sector is seeking a skilled and reliable Electrical Technician to join its production team in Ghana. The company is known for producing high-quality sanitary and tissue paper products and is committed to excellence in safety performance and product quality across its regional Electrical Technician will be responsible for the installation maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment used in the manufacturing process. This includes supporting power distribution systems production line electrical components and automation-related systems. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure smooth and efficient plant operations.


RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct routine inspections diagnostics and repairs of electrical components and control systems.

  • Install and maintain electrical wiring control panels circuit breakers and production machinery.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults in real time to minimize production downtime.

  • Assist in the maintenance of automation systems sensors drives PLCs and motor control centers (MCCs).

  • Ensure all work complies with electrical codes safety standards and plant protocols.

  • Support the calibration and maintenance of power systems generators and transformers.

  • Document all maintenance work including preventive tasks and incident reports.

  • Collaborate with mechanical instrumentation and production teams to support plant goals.

  • Participate in training and development of junior technical staff where required.



Requirements

  • Diploma or HND in Electrical Engineering Electromechanics or a related technical field.

  • Minimum of 4 years experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

  • Experience with industrial automation PLCs sensors motor starters and variable frequency drives (VFDs).

  • Strong understanding of power distribution systems and electrical safety standards.

  • Ability to work independently respond to emergencies and perform shift-based duties if required.

  • Willingness to relocate to Ghana for a full-time technical role.

  • Must be a citizen of Nigeria with valid travel documentation.
