Glengollan Village is a nondenominational notforprofit charitable organisation administered by an Honorary Board of Management established to provide appropriate accommodation and related services meeting specific care needs for aged people.
Established in 1956 as the Ferntree Gully Aged Peoples Homes Glengollan has independent living units as well as a 90bed residential aged care facility.
Job Description
Supports the emotional social and recreational well being of residents by assisting in planning and facilitating in engaging activities fostering meaningful connects and enhancing their overall quality of life.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience
- Certificate III or IV in Lifestyle & Leisure
- Ability to form appropriate relationships with a wide variety of Staff Residents and Relatives
- Well developed communication skills and ability to work cooperatively as a team member
- Have good written skills in order to document clear and concise reports of Residents response to Activities
- Current Victorian Drivers License
- A broad knowledge of craft and music activities and possess well developed skills in time management
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
- Demonstrated ability to work to a deadline and prioritise
- Current Police Check or willing to obtain one
- Current Covid Vaccination
