We are excited to be partnering with a very impressive well established medical equipment manufacturing company. Due to the growth of the business they have had a brand new opportunity that has come up for their team in Germany. The position is a Purchasing Directoron a permanent basis. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated detailoriented leader with strong knowledge of the medical device and manufacturing purchasing industry and processes. The company thrives due to its strong cultural foundation.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics to continuously improve supply chain efficiency
- Active supplier management especially in establishing and developing supplier relationships
- Obtaining and evaluating offers as well as negotiating purchasing and procurement conditions and contracts with suppliers in consultation with strategic purchasing and production planning
- Optimization of coordination with the production plants as part of the regular S&OP and foster collaboration with R&D and Production
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify emerging risks and develop mitigation plans e.g. dual sourcing
- Management and maintenance of purchasing/procurement data and documents.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in sourcing/procurement/purchasing
- Knowledge of ERP systems SAP software strong knowledge of excel
- Ability to interact with suppliers handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Fluent in German & English
