As a direct result of this work while creating jobs and rebuilding our domestic shipbuilding industry Seaspan Shipyards is delivering on the promise of ships built in Canada by Canadians.

Vancouver Shipyards based in North Vancouver has been very busy working on some exciting projects. We are working towards delivery of an Offshore Oceanographic Science Vessel (OOSV) for the Canadian Coast Guard and will be starting construction later this year of the first heavy Polar Icebreaker built in Canada for over 50 years.

Following that we have several MultiPurpose Vessels that are currently designing for construction in years to come. These projects bring longterm job stability on some of the most exciting and significant shipbuilding opportunities in the world.

Now is a great time to join the team at Seaspan and be part of the regeneration of the shipbuilding tradition and become a member of a talented diverse team that is forging a bright future for Canadian shipbuilding at one of the most modern shipyards in North America.

Welders have a major role in the shipbuilding industry.
