Why this position matters
We are developing highly flexible wireless SoCs in a fastpaced environment. The IoT RF Validation team has a vital role in ensuring product performance scalability and time to market. We are looking for an engineer focusing on RF validation and test automation of wireless IPs for lowpower SystemonChip IoT products. You will be part of a specialized highly skilled IPSoC development team spanning multiple wireless communications technologies such as Bluetooth Bluetooth LowEnergy 802.15.4 ZigbeeThread 802.11 WiFi WiSUN ZWave and proprietary shortrange wireless. The team you will integrate will be taking designs through the complete development lifecycle from initial concept to silicon bringup and optimization of shipping products as well as improving the software tools used for validation and configure the products.
Responsibilities
Define system validation tests implement them and optimize product performance
Improve and maintain inhouse radio configurator tool
Perform RF lab measurements
Coordinate with application engineering team to work on customer case
Perform presilicon verification utilizing a combination of block or chiplevel test benches and FPGA emulation
Coordinate with IC design firmware and software teams for product definition algorithm development and testing.
What skills you will need
B.S. or M.S. or Ph.D in Electrical Engineering
3 years of professional experience
Experience using Python or other highlevel modeling language/tool
Experience in taking measurements with standard RF lab instruments (signal generator spectrum analyzer network analyzer scope DMM supply)
Experience with RF signal chains including LNAs mixers PAs A/D and D/A
Troubleshooting techniques
Knowledge of git or other revisioning tool and practice
Strong written and verbal English communications skills
Bonus Skills and Experience
Advanced DSP knowledge
Experience with digital modulation formats (MSK/FSK OQPSK OOK/ASK etc)
Knowledge of common wireless communications standards and protocols such as Bluetooth lowenergy 802.15.4 or 802.11 WiFi
