Job Description
The Goddard School located inElmwood Park New Jersey is looking for a motivated selfstarter for an Assistant Director position at our School. A bachelors degree or higher in Early Childhood Education Child Development or a related field and management experience in a licensed childcare center or preschool is required. The ideal candidate must have strong leadership skills excellent communication skills and have a good understanding of a developmentally appropriate learning program for young children. In addition the ideal candidate will possess the ability to motivate and inspire others.
The Assistant Director responsibilities include the following:
Overseeing the operations of the School
Developing strong relationships with our families
Complying with state childcare licensing regulations
Projecting a positive and upbeat attitude while working in a fastpaced environment
Demonstrating highly effective organizational time management and multitasking skills
Having a genuine love for children and a strong commitment to education

Qualifications:
Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree in Early Childhood Education Child Development Education or a related field
2 of years of management experience in a licensed childcare center or preschool required
