The Department of Sociology at Saint Marys University invites applications for a fulltime tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to commence July 1 2025. We are seeking a candidate whose substantive research expertise speaks to contemporary matters that will foster undergraduate engagement. Areas can include but are not limited to sport violence immigration/migration matters connected to science and technology social/digital media and emerging trends in AI. Successful candidates will also show promise teaching quantitative methods and social theory.
Experience and Education Requirements:
While preference will be given to candidates with a PhD in sociology ABD candidates with a dissertation defense date scheduled may apply. Please note that only applicants with a PhD (or ABD) in sociology will be considered for this position. The deadline for applications is March 6 2025.
