Security Management Services NSA Bahrain The Security Management Services assists the United States Marine Corps Forces Central Command (MARCENT) and subordinate commands by serving within the 5th MEB task area. The positions primary mission involves assisting in the conduct of tactical level command and control of Marine Corps forces within CENTCOMs AOR in Bahrain. The Security Management Services directly supports the Command Security Management Office including conducting reviews assessments and verifications of security tasks to ensure the efficient of MARCENT OAMS tasks both within the continental United States (CONUS) and outside the continental United States (OCONUS). The Security Management Services will perform the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AN D RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide direct support to the Command Security Management Office.
- Support the handling marking storage safeguarding and destruction of classified material/information.
- Execute verification of security clearances visitor requests and assist security clearance procedures.
- Follow the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) when performing the duties on this requirement.
- Conduct reviews and assessments in order to allow government representatives to submit for investigations.
EDUCATION - HS diploma or equivalent required.
EXPERIENCE - Minimum ten years of military experience working within military logistics and sustainment operations desired.
- Experience in security management roles particularly in a military or intelligence community environment supporting Command Security Management Offices.
- Experience handling marking storing safeguarding and destroying classified material and information.
- Experience in conducting security reviews and assessments supporting investigations and compliance with security procedures.
CORE SKILLS/COMPETENCIES Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities - Possess the ability to independently perform all security tasks.
- Expertise in security management practices and procedures including handling safeguarding and disposing of classified material.
- Strong understanding of security clearance processes including verification and visitor management with the ability to assist in clearance procedures.
- Proficiency in applying the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) to ensure compliance with security requirements and protocols.
- Must be eligible to gain access to all pertinent security clearance databases (e.g. DISS and NBIS).
- Expertise in handling marking storing safeguarding and destroying classified material and information.
- Advanced proficiency with groupware applications (SharePoint MS Teams) and the Microsoft Office suite (Word Power Point Excel etc. desired.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills desired.
WORKING CONDITIONS - Required to sit for extended periods of time and maintain focus.
SPECIAL POSITION NOTATIONS - Travel is required.
- Qualification as an authorized company driver is required. All authorized company drivers must have a valid drivers license current automobile insurance and a driving record that is acceptable to the companys auto insurance provider.
SECURITY CLEARANCE - A TS/SCI clearance is required for this position.
