We are now accepting applications for New Yorkbased Forward Deployed Engineers via a BuildtoApply method.
BuildtoApply is an opportunity for candidates to submit a recorded demo as an application for a qualified position at Palantir. For the first time ever candidates will have an expedited path to a fulltime role at Palantir by demonstrating both their technical skills in Foundry and AIP and their abilities to communicate solution to challenging problems. The Role
Forward Deployed Software Engineers (FDSEs) work directly with customers to quickly understand their greatest problems and design and implement solutions using data. In this role youll apply your problem solving ability creativity and technical skills to help organizations use their data to drive a real impact in the world. Youll have the opportunity to gain rare insight into and contribute to some of the most important industries and institutions globally!
Core Responsibilities
FDSEs responsibilities look similar to those of a startup CTO: youll work in small teams and own endtoend of high stakes projects. A day might span discussing architecture with fellow engineers wrangling massivescale data coding a custom web app speaking with customer executives or establishing strategy for your team.

What We Value
- A highly analytical approach and eagerness to solve technical problems with data structures storage systems cloud infrastructure frontend frameworks and other technical tools.
- Experience or curiosity about working with and using large scale data to take on valuable business problems.
- Ability to collaborate efficiently in teams of technical and nontechnical individuals and comfortable working in a dynamic environment with evolving objectives and iteration with users.
What We Require
- 1 years of relevant postcollege work experience.
- Strong engineering background preferred in fields such as Computer Science Mathematics Software Engineering Physics and Data Science.
- Strong coder with shown proficiency in programming languages such as Python Java C TypeScript/JavaScript or similar.
- Ability and interest to travel up to 25 as needed to client sites but flexible based on personal preferences.

Salary
The estimated salary range for this position is estimated to be $135000 $200000/year. Total compensation for this position may also include Restricted Stock units signon bonus and other potential future incentives. Further note that total compensation for this position will be determined by each individuals relevant qualifications work experience skills and other factors. This estimate excludes the value of any potential signon bonus; the value of any benefits offered; and the potential future value of any longterm incentives.
