SUMMARY:

The Sleep Lab Technician/Technologist provides carefor patients undergoing sleep studies and sleep disorder treatment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • All Staff Members perform in accordance with Estes Park Healths Mission Vision and Values
  • The sleep lab technologist will prepare for the arrival of the patient by setting up equipment for the ordered test.
  • Interview the patient to determine any sleep issues and explain the testing procedures to the patient.
  • Perform ordered test as well as any additional testing that may be needed
  • Educates patients about test results sleep disorders community support groups and available resources.
  • Prepare calibrate repair and maintain equipment required for testing. Determines and reports needed repairs and replacements.
  • Score interpret and report results of sleep studies
  • Recognizes documents and reports all unusual patient response to treatment or testing.
  • Consistently follow all department policies and procedures.
  • As assigned by Director

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum Required Education: High school diploma or GED.
  • BLS
  • Preferred: Graduate of an accredited Polysomnography or Respiratory Therapy program. Required Licensure/Certification: Certified as a Polysomnographic Technologist (CPSGT) required within one year of hire and at discretion of hiring manager. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. Minimum Experience: None Required.

PAY RANGE:

Sleep Technologist: $24.11$32.79

Sleep Technician: $21.49$29.23
