Job Position: Director of Construction
Reports To: VPof Energy
Purpose: Responsible for of all construction phases for projects within a given region.
Responsibilities
- Participate in drawings reviews during the preconstruction phase of a project to provide technical insight and feedback from the field perspective.
- Attend Project HandOff meetings with the PreConstruction and Estimating group as well as Project KickOff meetings with division personnel.
- Ensure construction teams are being set up for success and have the necessary work plans shop drawings and other documents as necessary to aid in the of work.
- Through handoff meetings and reviews of project documents familiarize yourself with necessary information particularly focusing on contractual requirements technical specifications and site drawings.
- Coordinate with the Operations Manager to ensure construction team needs are met through supports services.
- Participate in planning and coordination sessions with divisional leadership for the planning of assets and development of processes and procedures.
- Be the primary driver of standardization and process and procedure development on the construction team.
- Ensure efficient construction operations within your region. Drive General Superintendents and Construction Managers to utilize clear and measurable production goals each day and work to documented procedures.
- Continuously analyze construction operations to refine procedures and find best practices.
- Ensure proper coordination between Project Managers General Superintendents and Construction Managers regarding project financials and setting of goals.
- Constantly evaluate team member capabilities. Serve as a mentor to field personnel discussing and developing career progression plans for individuals with high potential.
- In coordination with the Director and Operations Manager assist in forecasting future personnel needs identifying potential leaders to progress within the company.
- Identify training and education needed for field personnel. As required assist in the development and of a curriculum as well as individual periods of instruction.
- Represent KE during specified on site customer walks.
- Instill a culture of safety across the division. Periodically observe and critique morning safety talks as well as job safety analysis forms from each Construction Manager.

- Must be able to sit stand kneel stoop walk and sit for long periods of time
