Job Description

A Darien CT based private credit fund a subsidiary of Seaport Global seeks an entry level/junior Analyst to help underwrite and manage a portfolio of assetbased loans. The fund focused on assetbased and special situation lending lends to specialty finance companies operators of bigticket equipment and against esoteric assets.

The Analyst position is fulltime in the office and is suitable for a recent graduate. The ideal candidate has a bachelors degree in finance math accounting economics business or another quantitative field; a second major or a minor in a critical thinking discipline is a plus. This position requires motivation technical skills problem solving and the ability to conduct data analysis.

Responsibilities

Collateral monitoring for a portfolio of loans
Preparing reports about credit risk exposure to borrowers
Analyzing historical loan level performance data
Staying current on market trends with ongoing research
Securitization and other quantitative modeling
Drafting investment committee memoranda

Qualifications

Experience in data analysis risk analysis credit analysis loan underwriting consumer lending or similar
Acute attention to detail and impeccable judgment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
Knowledge of ABS and/or MBS MS Excel VBA and any database software a plus
