Activate is a tech company known for creating Canadas first fullscale interactive gaming facility. We are experiencing significant expansion and are looking to expand our IT team with the addition of a Product Owner. The Product Owner will coordinate the activities of software developers who design and maintain the core software (both frontend and backend) behind an interactive humanscale gaming facility. This will involve prioritizing all projects with software developers game designers graphic designers and other colleagues.
The Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning of product releases and set expectations for delivery of new features and functionality
- Manage plan and coordinate activities of the development team to ensure the sprint progresses on schedule
- Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for all Activate software products
- Define product vision roadmap and growth opportunities
- Confer with the development team to provide direction and to resolve problems
- Keep the Director Software informed on delivery status and keep a healthy roadmap for the development team
- Mitigate roadblocks impacting completion of release/sprint goals
- Provide feedback on worksinprogress and accept or reject final products
- Act as the voice of our players understanding customer feedback and needs
The Qualifications:
- Trades certificate or 2year diploma or unrelated bachelors degree
- 35 years in a related field
- Experience with Agile methodology and tools including JIRA
- Excellent communication presentation influencing and leadership skills
- Sharp analytical and problemsolving skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Possess a fundamental understanding of endtoend customer experience integration and dependencies
