Job Description

Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner
FullTime or PartTime Western Suburbs Melbourne

The Organisation:
MP Recruitment is working exclusively with a renown Not for Profit organisation committed to supporting individuals to lead fulfilling lives. The team provides evidencebased Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) services focusing on enhancing quality of life and reducing restrictive practices.

The Role
As a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner you will:

  • Work closely with individuals families and support networks to develop and implement behaviour support plans.
  • Conduct functional behaviour assessments and deliver personcentred interventions.
  • Provide training and support to caregivers and support staff to promote positive behaviour change.
  • Ensure compliance with NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Commission guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

About You
To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Relevant qualifications in Psychology Social Work Occupational Therapy or a related field.
  • Experience in Positive Behaviour Support and functional behaviour assessment.
  • Registration (or eligibility) with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission as a Behaviour Support Practitioner.
  • Working with children check
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to personcentred and strengthsbased approaches.
  • A current drivers license and willingness to travel within Melbournes western suburbs.
