Position to begin: August 2025
Job Description: This would be a 0.4 FTE position reporting to the principal to work as a music teacher. The teacher would be responsible for teaching general music classes to students in grades PreK through 4th grade. The ideal candidate has experience with music education and is organized engaging and aware of how to support diverse learners in a classroom setting.
Qualifications:
Experience with music education (preferred)
Experience with children ages 510 (required)
Catholic (preferred)
MA in music education or equivalent (preferred)
Demonstrates a solid understanding of Washington State Music Learning Standards
Ability to communicate with students parents and the school community
Desire to be part of a collaborative team of educators
Job Responsibilities:
Oversee teaching responsibilities for PreK through 4th grade general music
Synthesize data to support academic growth
Establish clear routines and expectations for students in the music classroom/program and establish a protocol should students deviate from expectations
Effectively communicate academic growth and progress with parents and administrators
Scaffold learning to support students to reach grade level benchmarks toward Washington State Music Learning Standards
Work with other music/band/orchestra teachers to streamline music practice at school
Support student supervision as determined by the principal and vice principal
Prepare communicate and execute the school Christmas and Spring Concerts

Salary and Compensation: Holy Rosary Salary Scale is$64109$114537for a 1.0 FTE certificated teacher. Any offered salary is determined based on a predetermined salary schedule internal salary ranges market data applicants skills and prior relevant experience degrees and certification. For staff at a .75 FTE or above a comprehensive benefits package will be offered including two medical plan options dental vision life accidental death and disability pension 403 (b) HSA FSA sick leave vacation holidays and tuition discounts for dependents attending Holy Rosary School.
