Northern Rivers Community Gateway have been delivering the Rainbow Region Kids (RRK) program for many years. This wellestablished accredited childcentred program includes before school care after school care and vacation care services at several locations across the region.
Our professional team create a fun inclusive safe and enriching environment to primary school aged children attending our services.
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Coordinator to lead our team and oversee the daytoday operations of RRK services ensuring compliance staff development and highquality educational programs.
Your role
- Oversee the delivery of highquality outside school hours care programs based on the My Time Our Place learning framework.
- Lead and mentor RRK educators ensuring professional development and best practice.
- Act as the Nominated Supervisor Responsible Person and Educational Leader across multiple services.
- Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF) Family Assistance Law and service policies.
- Liaise with families schools and external stakeholders to foster strong community relationships.
- Oversee Deputy Coordinators rostering.
- In conjunction with the Senior Manager Business Support monitor wages spend and adhere to set program budgets.
- Coordinate service operations including WHS.
- Support and supervise Assistant Coordinators ensuring effective program delivery.
- Actively contribute to quality improvement risk management and staff training initiatives.
Hours:- 35 hours per week
- Monday Friday 10am 6pm (with one hour lunch break)

Knowledge Skills and experience required
- A relevant Degree Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Childrens Services or Early Childhood Education.
- Minimum 5 years experience in a leadership role within childrens services.
- Strong knowledge of Family Assistance Law National Quality Framework and My Time Our Place framework.
- Proven ability to lead and supervise teams ensuring highquality service delivery.
- Experience in program planning and childhood development strategies.
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety (WHS) in childrens services.
Desirable
- Experience using OWNA childcare management software.
Additional requirements
- Current NSW Drivers License and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Current NSW Working with Children Check.
- National Police Check (or current clearance within the last six months).
- Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting (or willingness to obtain).
- Child Protection training (or willingness to complete before starting).
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain within 30 days).
- Written consent to act as Nominated Supervisor and Educational Leader across multiple services.
