JOB OVERVIEW:

The Raw & Finished Goods Operator Entry will be responsible for operating machinery autonomous maintenance troubleshooting equipment and sanitation. Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) will be followed in all aspects of this position in addition to adhering to all procedures and practices associated with Food Safety Food Security and Food Quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Safely operate plant equipment. Responsible for set up monitoring and operational adjustments to production equipment to ensure that quality and production targets are met.
  • Function daily as a fully participating Team Member in support of driving continuous improvement and operating results. Required to follow maintain and improve standard work practices across all equipment.
  • Required to operate a forklift and /or transporter and must be BD Certified and Licensed to operate either equipment.
  • Must understand Blue Diamond line certification HACCP process and auditing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Safety Practices.
  • Required to perform general housekeeping and various sanitation functions.
  • Actively participates on various committees teams and meetings to improve overall operations effectiveness.
  • Required to perform other tasks as assigned by management.

WHAT YOU NEED

*Minimum qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Position requires knowledge of machine operations and mechanical aptitude to keep machinery and equipment operating optimally and effectively. Must have the ability to perform basic troubleshooting.
  • Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules work schedules and performance graphs and have basic math skills.
  • Previous experience operating machines is preferred.
  • Must be able to work overtime as necessary.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is a standard manufacturing environment with exposure to noise dust hazardous materials and heavy machinery in varying work and weather conditions. You may be required to occasionally climb stairs and/or ladders.
