Responsibilities & Qualifications
Position Overview:
The Novelis Plant in Ashville OH is seeking an Operational Excellence Leader to manage our continuous improvement. The incumbent is responsible for demonstrating Lean Six Sigma expertise to guide the organization towards a future fully integrated World Class Manufacturing (WCM) methodology package.
Responsibilities
- Develop the knowledge on Lean 6 Sigma and WCM methodologies to increase ownership and autonomy on deploying WCM systems to our site.
- Mentor and lead deployments of WCM and serve as a guide on complicated analytic methods.
- Demonstrate the ability to use A3 Thinking and serve as an expert on 8D Problem Solving.
- Provide site coaching mentoring guiding and implementation skills in support of business goals.
- Support the sites Pillars development aiming to implement local Loss Intelligence Loss Eradication and Loss Prevention systems.
- Drive the utilization of IPC/VSA Loss Intelligence and Single Agenda.
- Provide routine site alignment reviews Value Stream Analysis and Implementation planning assessments with the Management Steering and Core Teams
- Drive progress toward achievement of business goals and objectives.
- Develop and deliver training materials and standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree preferred but not required or equivalent experience
- Five Seven plus years of industrial experience including 5 years of Lean CI
- Black Belt or Lean Sensei Certification
- Strong meeting facilitation skills
- Demonstrated training delivery skills
- Excellent communication (oral and written) skills
- Ability to connect with all levels in the organization
- Capable of working optimally in a variety of ambitious settings and environments.
