Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Design develop and test firmware of mission critical firmware.
Prepare and maintain specification design and test documentation.
Understand hardware firmware and software interactions and collaborate with other engineers across disciplines.
Follow and apply SEL Values and Principles of Operations.
This job may be for you if
B.S./M.S. in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering Computer Science or a related field
Typically 2 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
Embedded systems firmware development including:
Realtime firmware design
C/C and assembly languages
Low level RTOS or Embedded Linux Development experience
IoT and communication protocol experience including:
Understanding of the OSI model
Experience with wireless communication and IoT protocols MQTT Bluetooth COAP LwM2M etc
Familiarity with industry standards and protocols (e.g. 3GPP GSMA NA)
Strong writing documentation and speaking skills
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Background check results satisfactory to SEL
Negative drug test result(s).

The salary range for a Wireless Firmware Engineer is $88600$108200. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with differing experience. Our salary ranges are determined by job responsibility and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and jobrelated factors such as candidate experience training knowledge and skills.
