Job Description
Purpose of the job
Responsible for the of permanent retail fixture projects. You will be the beating heart of your projects working closely with departments in the business to facilitate all aspects of the projects development and . Your job starts on receipt of client brief and finishes at delivery or installation for the client. Youll work directly with clients and internal team members as the key project owner. You will gather all relevant project data and make sure deliverables are on time and to budget. Strong spreadsheet and data management skills required particularly working with Google docs as this is the clients preferred way of working.
Key responsibilities
- Fully understand client requirements ensure all correct details are included and all information is complete.
- Make sure there are realistic achievable budgets and timelines especially as related to design and supply.
- Communicate all to your team members and empower them to deliver for you.
- Lead project kickoffs and handover meetings between Concept Design Technical Design and Supply.
- Create and manage the project time plan agreeing milestones both internally and externally to ensure total project alignment. Enforce schedule compliance.
- Report implications and outcomes of project change (pre and post order) to client and internal stakeholders as appropriate.
- Build and maintain any client facing project management tools required for the successful delivery of a project CPAs time trackers budget trackers etc.
- Verify cost estimates are correct and where they need to be prior to passing to sales person. Use control documents to detail how budgets have been built and what assumptions have been made.
- Monitor budget compliance through the life of a project drive for improvements escalate cost increases.
- Review and establish team priorities and communicate change to Account Managers / Directors.
- Break through issues or logjams which occur during a project lifecycle and promote team collaboration.
- Create and upissue project briefs to ensure team members meet deadlines for each stage of a projects life cycle.
- Call and lead weekly cross functional team meetings
- Serve as the client lead for project delivery.
- Work proactively on methods to drive efficiency and reduce cost in all areas throughout the business.
- Analyse and review project performance with the team to ensure continuous improvement.
Knowledge Skills Experience
- Strong track record of successful customer management with bespoke projects preferably in permanent materials such as wood plastics and steel.
- Prefer experience working directly with global brands or retailers directly.
- Experience of Microsoft Office including strong excel skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Good interpersonal and motivational skills.
- Highly numerate and able to analyse and add value to information.
- Attention to detail and well developed organizational skills able to multitask on simultaneous projects while working with multiple different clients.
- Demonstrates ability to take initiative and problem solve independently. Does not wait to be told exactly what to do.
- Ability to work flexible hours available to travel as required. Full driving licence preferred.
