requires a
FULL TIME REGULAR MAINTENANCE WORKER
Clearview Public Schools invites applications for a Full Time Maintenance Worker. This individual is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of buildings mechanical systems equipment and grounds to ensure efficient and safe operations. This position requires a handson approach strong problemsolving abilities and effective collaboration with the Facility Services team.
The successful candidate will be required to work eight 8 hours a day Monday through Friday starting immediately. The work schedule will vary based on operational needs with typical shifts being: 7:30 AM 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM 5:30 PM.
General Responsibilities:
Respond promptly to trouble calls to restore equipment or buildings to normal operation.
Complete minor upgrades and fulfill service requests.
Perform carpentry duties related to building repairs including drywall patching painting and flooring. Ensure windows and doors function properly.
Handle groundskeeping duties such as grass mowing snow removal and landscaping.
Assist journeyman staff with repairs involving plumbing mechanical and electrical work.
Periodically inspect adjust lubricate clean test and service all equipment while maintaining records of work and repairs.
Qualifications:
Highly flexible with strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration in a diverse working environment.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of the Facility Services team.
Positive attitude with the ability to foster a cohesive work environment.
Willingness to learn and take on assigned tasks.
Effective computer skills.
Strong attention to detail and good physical condition.
Manual dexterity and adaptability with various hand tools power tools and equipment as needed.
Experience in carpentry and maintenance.
Valid Alberta Drivers License.
Proficiency in operating a variety of equipment including skid steers tractors lifts and other grounds and maintenance machinery.
The successful candidate will receive a competitive annual salary between $52000 and $58240. This position qualifies for full benefits which includes an LAPP pension ASEBP full benefit package and a health and wellness spending account.
Candidates selected for an interview will be required to supply three current references that have agreed to be contacted at the time of the interview. The successful candidate will be required to provide a current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector prior to employment commencing.
