Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee financial reporting for a portfolio of properties ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Manage monthend close including journal entries reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
Handle investment accounting tracking capital contributions distributions and returns.
Perform intercompany reconciliations across multiple entities.
Develop and maintain forecasts and budgets for properties in the portfolio.
Collaborate with property management teams to ensure proper accounting for leases expenses and revenues.
Assist with audits tax filings and compliance with real estate accounting standards.
Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency in property accounting operations.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
Minimum of 8 years of property management accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of investment accounting intercompany reconciliations and forecasting.
Proficiency in property management accounting software (e.g. Yardi MRI RealPage).
Experience with GAAP and real estate accounting principles.
Excellent analytical organizational and communication skills.
